3 consider 當(dāng)“認(rèn)為”意思時，常見句型：
1. consider sb./sth. (as)+形容詞/名詞, as可省略
We consider him very clever.
我們認(rèn)為他很聰明。
2. consider sb./sth. to do. (+不定式)
We consider her to work very hard.
我們認(rèn)為她工作非常努力。
They all consider this matter to be very urgent.

3. consider it+adj./n./to do.

第一，作“考慮、思考”時的搭配如下:
1.consider+n./pron. 例如:
Have you considered the suggestion?
That's what we have to consider now.
2.consider+V-ing，但不能接不定式的一般式，例如:
We considered going to see the doctor the next day.
Have you considered moving to shanghai recently?
You must consider to tell him something about it.(錯誤)
3. consider+疑問詞+不定式，如：
He is considering how to improve his English.
We must consider what to do next.4. consider+從句，例如:We didn't consider whether he should go or not.

第二、作“認(rèn)為、把...當(dāng)作/看作等意思時的搭配，如下:
1. consider+sb./sth.+(to be/as)+n./adj.,例如:
I consider him to (be/as) my best friend.
Everyone considers him (to be) clever.
He considered it much improved.
2. consider sb/sth.+不定式短語(作賓語補(bǔ)足語)，不能接不
定式的一般式，例如:
We consider them to be working very hard.
We consider them to have finished the work.
We consider him to be the clever in our class.
We must consider him to there at once. (錯誤)
3. consider+it+adj./n.+不定式短語，其中it為形式賓語，不
定式短語為真正的賓語，例如:
Jiao Yulu considered it his duty to serve the people heart and soul.They consider it necessary to set the slaves free.4.consider +sb./sth.+介詞短語作賓語補(bǔ)足語，例如：She always considered herself in the right.We considered his suggestion of great importance.5. consider+賓語從句，例如：We considered that the film was worth seeing for another time.I don' t consider that he has a final say in this matter.另外,(1) consider的名詞形式為 consideration，常用于下列的結(jié)構(gòu)：1. He showed much consideration for his wife.2. He didn't take part in the meeting in consideration of his job.3. You can't answer my question without consideration.4. Your plan is under consideration.(2) considerable意思為“可觀的、相當(dāng)?shù)?接不可數(shù)名詞)、值得思考的、重要的”等，例如：1. The increase was considerable.2. Your plan is considerable.
第三、 consider與 regard的區(qū)別:consider指經(jīng)過深思熟慮或由親身經(jīng)歷而“認(rèn)為”，regard指用眼睛看這種判斷通常基于表面的觀察,后面接復(fù)合結(jié)構(gòu),一般由名詞來充當(dāng)，不接形容詞或動詞不定式，一般as連用，例如：
1. we regarded him as one of the best teachers in our school.
2. I regard picking pocket as a crime。我認(rèn)為扒竊是一種罪行。
第四、think about和 think of也都有表示“考慮、認(rèn)為、想一想”的意思，常接表示事物的名詞或動名詞，例如：
1. She is thinking about/of changing his job.
2. What do you think about/of our plan?
3. Have you thought about/of my suggestion?
第五、look on/upon as意思為“把…看作、視為”，后面一般接名詞，例如:
1. Do you look on him as an authority ( 權(quán)威)on the subject.
2. He usually looks upon my idea as a joke.
(他常把我的意見視為兒戲。)

1. 譯為“盡量”“盡最大努力(可能)”，主要用于as…as possible [one can]。如：
You ought to rest as much as possible. 你應(yīng)當(dāng)盡量多休息。
I have helped you as much as I can. Now it is up to you. 我已盡我所能地幫助你了。現(xiàn)在該看你自己了。
I won't have a pudding it was as much as I could do to finish the very large first course. 我不要布丁了——我能把第一道大菜吃完就已經(jīng)很不容易了。
2. 譯為“像……一樣(的程度)”。如：
He doesn't think of you as much as he ought to. 他沒有像本應(yīng)該的那樣對你好。
We're in the dark just as much as you are. 我們跟你們一樣被蒙在鼓里。
I don't pretend to know as much as he does about it. 我不敢說我對此事的了解有他那樣多。
He doesn't think of you as much as he ought to. 他沒有像本應(yīng)該的那樣對你好。
I like cats as much as dogs. 我喜歡貓和喜歡狗和程度相同。(此句可視為 I like cats as much as I like dogs 之省略)
3. 譯為“與……一樣多”。如：
I haven't as much responsibility as before. 我不再擔(dān)負(fù)過去那樣多的責(zé)任了。
4. 譯為“好像”“幾乎”“并不多”“等于”。如：
That is as much as saying I am a liar. 那無異于說我撒謊。
He as much as admitted that it was his fault. 他幾乎承認(rèn)說是他的錯。
You said “all right”, which was as much as to say that you were satisfied. 你當(dāng)是說“行”，這就等于說你認(rèn)為滿意。
注：as much as to say [saying] 可視為習(xí)語，意為“等于說”。
5. 譯為“既……又”“不僅……而且”。如：
It is as much our responsibility as yours. 這既是你們的責(zé)任，也是我們的責(zé)任。
It is as much your responsibility as mine. 這件事你和我一樣都有責(zé)任。
He retorted that it was my fault as much as his. 他反駁說那不僅是他的錯，而且也是我的錯?；颍核瘩g說我的錯誤并不比他的錯誤小。
I expect to weep as much as (to) laugh. 我簡直又想哭，又想笑。
6. 有時有較靈活的譯法：
His latest play is not so much a farce as a burlesque tragedy. 他最近的一個劇本與其說是一個滑稽劇，不如說是一個滑稽的悲劇。
a bit ,a bit of的區(qū)別
a bit,a bit of這兩個短語都可表示“一點(diǎn)，一些”。其區(qū)別是：
a bit的意思是“有點(diǎn)”，在句子中常修飾動詞、形容詞，作狀語;a bit of是表示數(shù)量的短語，意思是“一點(diǎn)點(diǎn)”，在句子中多用做定語，后面只接不可數(shù)名詞。例如：
The weatheris a bit cold.天氣有點(diǎn)冷。
Please wait a bit.請等一下。
I know a bit of French.我懂一點(diǎn)法語。
