1在客觀問題后面追述原因

復(fù)習(xí)過雅思的同學(xué)都熟悉第二部分的題目，總的來說，口語的題目就是由what、when、who、where、why 和 how/how often 組成，我們叫5W1H原則。

很多同學(xué)一看題目，覺得除了why的問題可以回答出一些東西，剩下的問題回答不超過3句話，更有甚者，有的學(xué)生一句話就概括了3個問題。這就是為什么學(xué)生發(fā)現(xiàn)口語中的2分鐘那么煎熬的原因了。

雅思的評分標(biāo)準(zhǔn)Fluency里就有一項要求叫做: students should be able to speak at length.也就是說學(xué)生在考官提出問題后要自己能夠給出完整的答案，有理有據(jù)，而并非簡單的yes or no就可以解決的。

那么我們怎么才能做到滔滔不絕呢?最簡單的方法就是在when、who、where、how often之類的客觀問題后面問自己一個why。我們下面通過例子來詳述。

例 如

Describe another language (in addition to English and your own language) that you would learn, if you wanted.

You should say,

The name of this language

How you would learn it

What equipment or facilities you would need to study this language

And explain why you would choose to study this language.

我們就問題逐個解答。首先你想學(xué)的語言是什么，你可以任意選，法語、西班牙語、俄語等等。

我們就以法語來舉例。那如果只是單單的說 the language I would like to learn is French 這樣又是一句話就完了。我們還可以介紹法語的一些情況啊，比如 it is said that French is considered as the most romantic language in the world。

這樣不但延長了時間，而且很具體。當(dāng)然同學(xué)們還可以交代法語是聯(lián)合國會議的重要語言等等信息。但此處謹(jǐn)記不要著急說為什么要學(xué)法語，因為后面有why, 可以慢慢解釋，要不然整篇布局會亂。

我們看第二個問題how。學(xué)任何語言都是相通的，你是怎么學(xué)英語的，把這些方法說出來就可以了。你就可以說 joining a training session is the most effective way to pick up a new language.

當(dāng)然還沒完，這里就可以加上理由。比如：(接上句)since the professional teachers will introduce you the right techniques and tips to master it. 當(dāng)然學(xué)語言不止一種方法，你還可以接著列舉另外的方式。

有的學(xué)生會提到通過交法國朋友來學(xué)習(xí)，那么一定要記得加上理由，比如：I can practice my spoken French with some local friends. This is mainly because they can point out my mistakes and show me the right usage of the slang or idiom that Chinese teachers rarely use.

接下來第三個問題，equipment or facilities。同學(xué)們首先就想到了電腦。

In terms of the facilities, computer plays a significant role in the process of language studying.

還是記得加原因——we can download a large quantity of references which are definitely useful to our studie. 當(dāng)然你還可以說看電影、報紙之類的都行。如果還有其他的比如mp3、mp4都可以接著說的。無論你選擇什么，作者還是要不厭其煩地提醒一句，記得加原因拓展你的speech。

這種方法是最實惠而且是最符合評分標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的。說到這里，平常練習(xí)總是沒有話說的同學(xué)可以試試~

2延長連接詞或者連接句

雅思評分標(biāo)準(zhǔn)里有一項叫coherence——連貫性、一致性?？谡Z中的連貫性一定是要靠連接詞或者連接句來完成的，比如最熟悉的已經(jīng)用爛的and, also, 還有的童鞋可憐巴巴的只會用一個and。

延長一些連接詞的好處有兩個，第一它們會讓你的答案的邏輯性非常明顯，讓考官很容易抓住你的觀點;第二在你沒有特別多話說的情況下kill time。

還拿上面的題目來作為例子。

Why would you want to learn this language?

烤鴨們會有N個理由。一般考試建議考生說兩個即可，比如你想去法國旅游，會法語能夠讓你的旅程更愉快;或者會法語能讓你找到好工作等等，此處僅以此舉例。

那么首先陳述理由開門見山：

As for me, I would want to study French for a couple of reasons. The most important one would be that I've always dreamed of going to France for a visit. The ability of speaking the language could make my journey more enjoyable. In addition to what I've just mentioned, a plus point would be that being able to speak French would probably increase my chance of getting a job.

從范文可以看出，其實它是延長了同學(xué)們的口頭禪firstly, secondly。既清楚明了地告訴了考官思路，同時又減少了說實際內(nèi)容的時間，擺脫啞口無言的尷尬境地。

Topic：Describe a small business you would like to start.

You should say ：

What it would be

When you would like to start

What you will need to start it

and explain why you like to run this business.

Sample answer：

Speaking of a small business what I want to run in the future. It will be a kind of childcare center in the neighborhood which is a place for kids to go after school. My community desperately needs a place like this. Honestly，I have no idea how to go about it. But common sense tells me that the key to starting a successful business is to develop a business plan and then get financial support. But unlike other businesses,this care giving business does not have to be a profitable organization. However,helping kids is the crucial thing that we should do. So I would contact some local non-profit organizations and talk with them to see if they can help me in any way. There will be food,video games,pinball and a dance floor.I will also hire coordinators there to help kids with homework and other kinds of stuff. The business would operate on a membership scheme, I mean those who want to join have to register and pay annual fee first. There will be individual membership fee and family membership fee which is quite a bargain.Then the members will be entitled to enjoy the refreshments in the member's lounge. I would like to start this business because first of all, there's great demand around my neighborhood.The typical primary schools or secondary schools in China normally end at 4p.m. But the working hours for most parents is from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The center will be a good place for the child to stay until their parents come to pick them up after work. Also I could set up a nursery or a kindergarten catering for kids who are in tender ages.
