綜觀整個下半年，較有影響的幾個學術、文學大獎，沒有一個不是進行得磕磕絆絆，而評獎結果也均是頗多非議。先是“長江《讀書》獎”就學術委員會召集人能否獲獎在學術界引起了一場筆伐；接下來首屆老舍文學獎也“驚爆出內幕”，得獎作品居然不在候選之列！戰(zhàn)爭逐漸升級，接下來的矛頭就集中到了“茅盾文學獎”這樣的國家級文學大獎：初評尚未啟動，評委遭質疑，入圍作品遭非議，直到最近好不容易評出了獎，還被冠上了“文學界的‘狗皮膏藥’”如此不雅的稱號，令人哭笑不得。但事情并沒有因此完結，茅盾文學獎塵埃落定，對她的姐妹獎——另一國家重量級獎項——“魯迅文學獎”的遲遲不露出水面，人們又開始了質疑：兩年一評的魯迅文學獎“難產(chǎn)”了？

作為《中國作家》的資深編輯，第一屆魯迅文學獎的評委之一，楊志廣向筆者道出了個中部分原委。第一次評獎帶來的諸多后遺癥使作協(xié)顧慮重重，不敢貿然開始第二次評獎。第一次評獎，獲獎作品篇目過多，僅報告文學作品就達15個之多。如此多的作品，是否都代表了最高成就，值得商榷。二是此次評獎，單項獎是實行“包干制”，承包給各雜志社的。如報告文學一項的評定由《中國作家》雜志社承擔，中篇和短篇小說分別由《小說選刊》和《人民文學》承擔。參評作品雖然由各地作協(xié)推薦和評委推薦，但是在評選過程中受各主評雜志社影響較大，近親色彩較濃。三是“地域色彩”濃厚，一方面是評委感情因素在起作用，另一方面也是出于文學觀念上的差別，使得北京作家和軍隊作家的作品占了相對較大的比例。

魯迅文學獎可謂是“啟而未動”。文學界的評獎，尤其魯迅文學獎可以借鑒電影的百花獎、金雞獎，分開來評出專家獎和群眾獎。既然評委強調通俗和高雅的界限，索性將兩類分開。上屆魯迅文學獎還有一個毛病就是學院派的味道太濃，特別是小說獎獲獎作品，很多群眾都不知道?！缎≌f月報》堅持每年都要評出“小說月報百花獎“，完全由讀者投票。而上次魯迅文學獎的奇怪現(xiàn)象是讀者投票評出的小說月報獲獎作品沒有一篇入圍魯迅文學獎。
