Two hunters hire a small plane to take them to a remote area of Canada. Upon dropping off the hunters, the pilot tells them, "Remember only one moose, because the plane wouldn’t be able to take off with more weight than that." The hunters go off.

　　A week later when the plane returns to pick them up, the two hunters are standing1 by the lake with two moose. The pilot fumes2, "I told you guys only one moose, and you'll have to leave one because we won't be able to take off with that much weight." "Oh, come on," beg the two hunters, "Last year the pilot let us take two moose on, you're just a chicken."

　　Not wanting to be accused of being a coward, the pilot allows the two to bring both moose on the craft. The plane starts across the lake, straining to take off. The pilot tries and tries to no avail and the plane crashes into the trees at the end of the lake. A while later after coming to one of the hunters gets up and looks at all the scattered3 debris4 of the wreck5 and says, "Where are we?" To which the other hunter replies, "Oh, I'd say about a hundred yards farther than last year."

　　兩個(gè)獵人租了一架小型飛機(jī)去加拿大的一個(gè)偏僻地區(qū)打獵。要下飛機(jī)的時(shí)候，飛行員特意囑咐他們：“千萬記住，只允許帶一只駝鹿，因?yàn)轱w機(jī)只能承受那么大的重量。”聽飛行員說完，兩個(gè)獵人就打獵去了。

　　一個(gè)星期過后，當(dāng)飛機(jī)返回原地接他們時(shí)，飛行員卻看到獵人的身邊有兩只駝鹿。飛行員生氣地說道：“我提醒過你們，只能帶一只駝鹿。你們必須放棄一只，因?yàn)轱w機(jī)根本承受不了這樣的重量。”“哦，幫幫忙，”兩個(gè)獵人哀求道，“去年那個(gè)飛行員就帶了兩只駝鹿呢。你真是個(gè)膽小鬼。”

　　飛行員害怕被扣上膽小鬼的帽子，于是就勉強(qiáng)同意了。飛機(jī)剛剛越過一個(gè)湖，就開始逐漸下沉。飛行員使盡渾身解數(shù)也未能逃脫劫難，飛機(jī)最終墜落在湖邊的一片樹林里。過了一會(huì)兒，一個(gè)獵人站了起來，看著飛機(jī)的殘骸說：“我們這是在哪里？”另—個(gè)獵人回答：“哦，我覺得比去年還遠(yuǎn)了100碼呢。”
