King Wu went on a trip to view the beautiful mountain scenery in his domain1. Led by the stately honor guards, King Wu climbed up a mountain peak.
The monkeys in the mountain were scared away by King Wu's attendants, except for a big monkey who didn't show the least sign of fear.
To show its bravery, the monkey showed off its smartness and dexterity2 by every means, it stuck out its paw to seize the arrow shot at it by King Wu and brandishing3. Upon seeing this, the King because furious, and with a wave of his hand, the attendants around him shot all together. It was hard for the monkey to dodge4 the arrows, and eventually, struck by arrows; it died, clinging to a tree.
