There was a person of the state of Chu who feared ghosts very much.
After knowing this, a thief climbed on the top of wall of his yard, and mimicked1 the sound of ghost. He was very happy to find the host didn't dare2 to look out and was afraid of ghosts as expected. After doing this for four or five days, the thief sneaked3 into the man's house and took away everything.
Not long before, there was ghost in his house again. Although he found the things missing4 in the thief's home, he thought that they had been taken by the ghost and then given to the thief by the ghost instead of believing that man was a thief.
