Summer is the second season of the year. When summer comes, it is getting hot and sunny. The days are getting longer and the nights are getting shorter, for the sun gets up early and goes to bed late.
The world has become a green world, green leaves on the trees, green grass by the river, green plants in the fields, and we can see beautiful flowers everywhere. Birds sing from morning till night.
It's so hot that all of the children go swimming in rivers or lakes, and the old people sit under big trees to enjoy the cool air, but the farmers are still busy working in the fields.

It's almost the end of April. Summer has come to us in my city. In south, summer always comes earlier than north. It has been hot for about half a month. The highest temperature reached 37 degree. Now, there are much less people in the street. People are not likely to go out during the summer. It's so hot outside. Swimming is the most favorite activity in my city. The pools are always full filled with people. Parents often take their children to swimming pool at night. Personally, I do not like summer, because it's too hot and the sunshine is strong. Why does the summer get so terrible? With the development of society, we should have a higher life standard, but actually there are environment problems which influence people’s life. The high temperature is the best instance to explain the existed environment issues. On the one hand, many factories have produced much pollution which can make temperature become higher. On the other hand, a lot of people don’t really realize the importance of protecting the environment. They have not enough awareness to understand that protecting environment is to save themselves.
