“be nowhere in sight”就是“怎么找都看不到”的意思，sight這個字就是“視線”的意思。nowhere這個字若用中文的邏輯來直譯，會顯得有些尷尬，不過這個字在美語中的用法卻是很活潑的，亦能和中文的概念互相援引。比如說，in the middle of nowhere就是中文里頭“偏僻之地”的意思。而若是有什么東西突然不知道從什么地方冒出來，就可以說“it came out of nowhere！”
