什么是托福聽(tīng)力中的插入信息題?
托福聽(tīng)力考試中經(jīng)常考察的一種類(lèi)型,就是“插入信息”,也就是在人的談話(huà)中,經(jīng)常會(huì)順口提及其他的事情或例子,雖然看似漫不經(jīng)心,但是在之后的題目中很有可能考察到。因此這部分的內(nèi)容還是難度很大的。具體的我們要如何來(lái)備考這類(lèi)內(nèi)容呢?新東方在線(xiàn)托福網(wǎng)為大家整理了相關(guān)的內(nèi)容,供大家參考。
托福聽(tīng)力插入信息題實(shí)例解讀
聽(tīng)力材料中出現(xiàn)的例子(Example)是最經(jīng)典的“插入信息”,這里也直接對(duì)應(yīng)托福聽(tīng)力考試的一大題型——目的題(例子題)。

刷過(guò)官方真題Official的同學(xué)一定不會(huì)陌生。
下面我們以官方真題Official1 conversation2的一道目的題來(lái)看看,材料中是如何插入例子考點(diǎn)的。
題目:Why does Matthew mention Greek and Roman mythology?
A. To identify a topic frequently discussed in third grade
B. To get the professor's opinion about a lesson he taught
C. To make a suggestion to improve the class he is taking
D. To illustrate a technique used to teach a third-grade class
通過(guò)分析文本,教授表示對(duì)Mr.Grabell課堂上運(yùn)用的interdisciplinary(跨學(xué)科)這種教學(xué)方法非常感興趣,學(xué)生為了進(jìn)一步解釋這種方法的具體應(yīng)用,例舉了在課堂上Mr.Grabell關(guān)于jupiter這顆太陽(yáng)系中最大的行星名字的由來(lái),講到了jupiter這個(gè)詞同時(shí)也是羅馬神話(huà)中眾神之王的名字(朱庇特)。
文中原話(huà):So since Jupiter, the planet, is the largest planet in our solar system, it's like the king of the planets, like Jupiter was the king of all the gods.這種由天文學(xué)跨到神學(xué)的講解方式正是interdisciplinary這一教學(xué)technique的具體體現(xiàn)。故此題選D。
除了以上最顯眼的例子插入,托福聽(tīng)力考試中還有一些相對(duì)存在感比較弱,卻常爆考點(diǎn)的“插入信息”。如官方真題Official1 Lecture1中:
題目:Why did Frantzen go to the Sales Barn?
A. To study human form and movement
B. To earn money by painting portraits
C. To paint farm animals in an outdoor setting
D. To meet people who could model for her paining
這道題屬于因果類(lèi)細(xì)節(jié)題,詢(xún)問(wèn)畫(huà)家Rose Frantzen為什么常去Sales Barn這樣的地方?答案難度其實(shí)不大,后文兩次提到“movement”,選A。難點(diǎn)在于這個(gè)細(xì)節(jié)容易被忽略。但只要我們掌握“插入信息”這個(gè)考點(diǎn),也就不難理解為什么要考這道題。在教授講述該畫(huà)家的一幅關(guān)于Farm的畫(huà)作與回國(guó)后的經(jīng)歷之間,說(shuō)了一句“Oh,and speaking about frams,that reminds me…One interesting thing I read about Franzten is that...”此處插入的這句話(huà)更像是對(duì)考點(diǎn)的一種提示,讓考生對(duì)接下來(lái)的內(nèi)容提高警惕。
又如官方真題Official3 conversation2中
題目:What information does the student still need to get from the professor?
A. The name of the senior researcher

這道題也屬于細(xì)節(jié)題,難度系數(shù)很低,但出現(xiàn)在同樣容易被忽略的conversation結(jié)尾處,不少同學(xué)在聽(tīng)完全文后對(duì)該考點(diǎn)毫無(wú)印象,這種送分題反而成了送命題…通過(guò)分析文本,我們發(fā)現(xiàn)其實(shí)這個(gè)考點(diǎn)也是“早有預(yù)謀”,在出現(xiàn)答案training前(C),學(xué)生插入了一句“By the way”,大家千萬(wàn)不要小看這個(gè)看似普通的小詞組,在官方真題Official聽(tīng)力練習(xí)中,幾乎每次它的出場(chǎng),都在告訴我們考點(diǎn)來(lái)了。

1,It seems like only yesterday that I was sitting where you are, just finishing my first year of medical school and wondering if I'd ever get a chance to use all my new knowledge on a real live patient!
Well, I have good news for you! You don't have to wait until your third or fourth year of Medical school to get some hands-on experience! The dean has invited me here to tell you about the university's rural opportunity program. If you enroll in this program, you can have the opportunity this summer, after your first year of medical school, to spend from four to six weeks observing and assisting a real physician like me in a small rural community. You won't have to compete with other students for time and attention, and you can see what life as a country doctor is really like.
The program was designed to encourage medical students like yourselves to consider careers in rural communities that are still understaffed. It seems that medical students are afraid to go into rural family practice for two reasons. First, they don't know much about it. And second, specialists in the cities usually make more money. But, on the up-side, in rural practice, doctors can really get to know their patients and be respected members of the community.
I participated in the program when it first started and spent six weeks in a small rural town. Let me tell you, it was really great! I got to work with real patients. I watched the birth of a child, assisted an accident victim, and had lots of really practical hands-on experience --- all in one summer. And to my surprise, I found that country life has a lot to offer that city life doesn't --- no pollution or traffic jams, for instance!
,2,Good afternoon. I'm here today to talk to you about a career with our airline. We're especially interested in recruiting people to fill openings for flight attendants.
First of all, to work as a flight attendant with us, you must be accepted into our training program --- and with so many people applying, it's not easy to be selected. From the thousands of applications that we receive annually, we choose fewer than a thousand people for training. So, we require experience serving the public; and it also helps if you've earned some college credits.
Also, not everybody who gets accepted into the training program makes it through.
The course meets six days a week for five weeks. The training includes extensive classroom work
in such subjects as first aid and passenger psychology as well as practical training in flight procedures and meal service. A lot of our graduates say that our fight attendants develop the skills of a nurse, a headwaiter, and a public relations executive!
But, as a flight attendant myself, I can say that all of the hard work is worth it. Of course, I get to travel throughout the country, and the airline pays all of my expenses while I'm away from my base station. And, what I like best of all is that I've made friends with people from all over the country!
My experience made me want to work where I'm needed and appreciated. I don't miss the city at all!

女生丟了錢(qián)包wallet,里面有她的student id, meal card &key 等東西,她不能進(jìn)自己的寢室she can't enter her dorm。她想到student service center 這兒來(lái)補(bǔ)辦id card。(考主旨題:Why does the student go to see the office worker in the university service office? mm 要補(bǔ)辦new id 卡。)遇到staff(口音像是一位黑人大叔)把守。
男staff: 沒(méi)有id card 你不能進(jìn)去,這個(gè)地方只有持 student id 的人才可以進(jìn)去。
女生: 我跟人家說(shuō)我的ID 掉了,就被支到這個(gè)地方來(lái)了。
男staff: 出示其它有頭像的證件,比如駕照driving license、護(hù)照passport 什么的。
女生: 我passport 在dorm 里。wallet 丟了,id card 和鑰匙也丟了,進(jìn)不去dorm(題目:她為何拿不到passport?因?yàn)樵谒奚?,沒(méi)有ID 卡她進(jìn)不去。Why 女生不能出示 diver license?正確答案:her wallet was stolen.) 。我和dorm 負(fù)責(zé)人說(shuō)過(guò)這個(gè)問(wèn)題。他給您這兒發(fā)了email 說(shuō)明。

考重聽(tīng)?wèi)B(tài)度題:MM 為什么這么說(shuō)?記得兩選項(xiàng):1.MM 懷疑這個(gè)管理員是不是能幫他。2.MM 在解決了所有的問(wèn)題之后如釋重負(fù)She was relieved.。
托福聽(tīng)力:聽(tīng)力低分7個(gè)原因
(1)僅做題。浪費(fèi)了提高實(shí)力的好材料。
不可否認(rèn)的,無(wú)論什么樣的方法,托福聽(tīng)力水平提高的最后落腳點(diǎn)還是會(huì)放在“聽(tīng)”本身上,只有足夠的題量用來(lái)把耳朵叫醒,才能在考試的時(shí)候事半功倍。但是僅僅做題是沒(méi)有什么用處的,做題是方法不是解決問(wèn)題的根本。在做題的同時(shí)大家可能要在聽(tīng)力的各種影響因素上面都花上些力氣,比如背景知識(shí),分類(lèi)詞匯等等。沒(méi)有這些輔助的知識(shí),做題就是浪費(fèi)了好的材料。
(2)無(wú)解析。含糊著與好文章擦肩而過(guò)
托福聽(tīng)力訓(xùn)練的材料的好壞的最重要的判斷標(biāo)準(zhǔn)就是聽(tīng)力材料后面有沒(méi)有精辟的解析。只有有了準(zhǔn)確精辟的聽(tīng)力材料解析,才能使考生們明白,何處對(duì),和出錯(cuò),該如何改進(jìn)才能提高托福聽(tīng)力的實(shí)力,才能真正的應(yīng)用這些好的材料。
(3)貪圖量。囫圇吞棗、走馬觀花,無(wú)質(zhì)量
托福聽(tīng)力訓(xùn)練是一個(gè)磨耳朵的過(guò)程,但是這個(gè)過(guò)程并不是只靠時(shí)間就能堆出來(lái)的。聽(tīng)力材料量的多少是衡量能否提高聽(tīng)力水平的一個(gè)標(biāo)準(zhǔn),但是不是唯一的絕對(duì)標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。對(duì)聽(tīng)力材料囫圇吞棗式的聽(tīng)是沒(méi)有任何用處的,不會(huì)對(duì)聽(tīng)力實(shí)力產(chǎn)生任何影響,甚至?xí)a(chǎn)生些負(fù)面的影響。
(4)沒(méi)分類(lèi)。對(duì)于托福專(zhuān)業(yè)話(huà)題依舊沒(méi)概念
托福聽(tīng)力訓(xùn)練的另外一個(gè)很普遍的問(wèn)題就是,大家在聽(tīng)的時(shí)候都不分類(lèi)。這樣練習(xí)聽(tīng)力的話(huà),大家的整體的聽(tīng)力實(shí)力會(huì)有所提高的,但是大家對(duì)托??荚嚨穆?tīng)力話(huà)題依舊云里霧里,沒(méi)什么概念,等于做了無(wú)用功。
(5)做一遍。只檢查自己而不提高自己
托福聽(tīng)力訓(xùn)練最重要的聽(tīng)的方法就是反復(fù)聽(tīng)重復(fù)聽(tīng),只有將一篇材料聽(tīng)熟聽(tīng)透,才能在能力上有所提升。如果只聽(tīng)一遍或是兩遍,甚至于聽(tīng)?zhēng)妆榈菦](méi)聽(tīng)懂就放棄了,都沒(méi)有任何用處。
(6)缺精選。話(huà)題精、結(jié)構(gòu)精的文章是什么
托福聽(tīng)力訓(xùn)練的目的是要大家答好托福聽(tīng)力考試。所以大家在進(jìn)行訓(xùn)練的時(shí)候一定要針對(duì)托福的經(jīng)典的話(huà)題進(jìn)行,只有對(duì)這些熟悉了,了解了,才能考好脫兔聽(tīng)力。
(7)看不懂。沒(méi)有參考翻譯
這個(gè)問(wèn)題在聽(tīng)力的初期尤為突出。因?yàn)樵~匯量的關(guān)系,大家在聽(tīng)的時(shí)候沒(méi)有任何辦法聽(tīng)得懂,但是這個(gè)時(shí)候如果還是沒(méi)有參考譯文,大家的練習(xí)的信心可能就會(huì)被打擊到,而且對(duì)聽(tīng)力訓(xùn)練的效率的影響也是非常大的。
