I’m going to describe a high-rise building in my neighborhood. It’s called Paradise Green City, located in Canada.

? Unlike other modern blocks, which are usually huge glass towers, the building is painted yellow, although it’s named Green City. The structure of Green City is not dissimilar to that of most buildings in Canada nowadays, with the bottom half used as a shopping center and the top half occupied by apartments.

? One feature that makes the building unique is that its trade center offers Canadian products only, with a view to promoting domestic products to Hanoi people and also to supporting national manufacturers. At the entrance of the building, if you look to the right, you can easily find a store named Masterchef bread, which serves traditional bread to people who just do not have enough time to go inside, so they line up waiting to pay.

? In spite of its prime location, however, Paradise Green City offers a reasonable price for its apartments, which are affordable for many middle-income families. From the building, we can enjoy the breathtaking scenery. So, if you are planning to find a place with a beautiful and peaceful view, or simply want to buy something traditional, Paradise Green City may be a good choice.

? (Dislike) What I don’t like about Paradise Green City, however, is that its design is neither eye-catching nor original. In fact, I personally find that it resembles Times City, a modern building nearby. Moreover, the paint color doesn’t match its modern structures, which makes the building somehow old-fashioned. And, the quality, as well as diversity of products on sale do not meet the expectations of most customers. So, I guess it’s the reason why the building doesn’t attract as much attention from the public as expected.

一.Poker face，不管，冷酷臉，我最帥!

有經(jīng)驗的“烤鴨”們或許曾經(jīng)遇到過這樣的考官，全程冷漠臉，無論你講了自黑的段子， I am not really into wearing hats, for the reason that I have a big head, which is not suitable for that . 說了背得很辛苦的笑話，The most interesting story , I mean a joke i have heard is about two brothers. 二.OK...OK...OK...OK先生，總是打斷我講話

小編不止千次聽到過抱怨了，“考官好煩，P 1的時候總是打斷我，我剛說了個because，還未進入到我精心準備的正題吶!”，“今天考試，被打斷次數(shù)，可圍繞地球一圈!”可是，“烤鴨”們，有沒有想過他們?yōu)槭裁创驍嗄銈?因為他們從你們的表達中，聽到了老套!比如：”因為“就只有because, 我認為“一直“用I think，我喜歡“老是用”I think，“非?！敝貜蛌ery...... 然而”since, as ,for, for the reason that, due to that 等代替because ，I believe, from my perspective, in my view , I guess, I bet 等替換I think， quite, extremely等以及其他程度副詞取代very......

當然，還有種情況，就是你聽岔了考官題意，所以他沒辦法，只能打斷你講話，一般來說，負責的考官，會再說一遍題目，所以，不用慌張。

當然，據(jù)有些考生所說，個別考官全程表現(xiàn)很不耐煩，考生說不到一句話，就急匆匆地打斷，對于這種情況，大家可以維權，找到工作人員，投訴他，你們的對話都是有錄音的，一旦投訴成立，你將會有再一次的機會考試。

三.Why ? Why ? Why ? Why 先生，化身為考場十萬個為什么

繼OK先生之后，Why 先生也是一大吐槽對象，而且數(shù)量巨大，深究到更深層次的原因，大多數(shù)寶寶心里都很慌，因為很多素材都是網(wǎng)上積累的啊，或者瞎編的啊，這是騙你的，問我們“為什么”，所以，寶寶能做的就是考試一臉懵逼，考完盡情吐槽了?？脊賳柲鉾hy，就是想讓你多表達一些細節(jié)，或者他已經(jīng)懷疑你是背的了，所以，這個時候，你絕對不能不耐煩，雖然內(nèi)心強烈吐槽，但臉上要表現(xiàn)出”我很淡定，我很自信，兵來將擋，水來土掩“的強大氣場，不慌不忙地解釋原因，我堅信中國的烤鴨們編造能力是一流的，尤其是文科生。當然，在復習準備的時候，不妨設定場景自虐，想著Why先生會怎么問你，自己先把各種細節(jié)做好闡述，理由做好解釋，讓Why先生在考場無法發(fā)揮!

Well, this topic reminds me of the joke my friend told me the other day. It was hilarious and it really cracked me up.

It’s a story between a rabbit and a wolf. One day, the rabbit bought a cute hat, and on her way back home, she met the wolf who always gives her a hard time. The wolf hit the rabbit on the head real hard, saying, ‘Why are you wearing a hat?! / What the hell are you doing with a hat?!’ So the next day, the rabbit didn’t dare to wear the hat again, but when she ran into the wolf, the wolf hit her again, asking, ‘Where’s your damn hat?!’ The rabbit got confused and didn’t know what to do. So she went to the tiger to find justice. However, the tiger was actually on the wolf’s side, and he told the wolf not to bully the rabbit in such an obvious way, ‘You need to come up with a good reason to find fault with her. For example, tomorrow, you could ask her to pick flowers for you, if she got the red ones, you can hit her and say why don't you pick the yellow ones, and vice versa. You can also ask her to bring hot girls to you, if she brings you a fat lady, then you can punish her and ask her why don’t you find me a slim one?!’ However, they didn’t know the rabbit was just outside the door and heard everything.

So you see, this is a really side-splitting/funny joke.

另外，當年費玉清老司機也給大家講過一個好玩兒的笑話，就是“你追到我”減肥系列，網(wǎng)上也有相應的英文版，大家可以用起來。不過要注意一點，這種有重復情節(jié)的故事，在講的時候一定要注意語言的多變，否則很容易給人一種“句式單一、記流水賬”的感覺。

例如在介紹第一天的場景的時候，可以說：

A guy calls a company and orders their 5-day, 10 pounds weight loss program. The next day, there’s a knock on / at the door and there stands before him a voluptuous (attractive in a sexual way with large breasts and hips), athletic, 19 year old babe dressed in nothing but a pair of Nike running shoes and a sign around her neck. She introduced herself as a representative of the weight loss company. The sign reads, “If you can catch me, you can have me.”

Without a second thought, he takes off after her. A few miles later huffing and puffing (to breathe in a noisy way because you are very tired), he finally gives up. The same girl shows up for the next four days and the same thing happens. On the fifth day, he weighs himself and is delighted to find he has lost 10 pounds, as promised.

那么在敘述第二輪情況的時候，就可以換一下對減肥教練的描述：There stands the most stunning, beautiful, sexy woman he has ever seen in his life. 在表述“毫不猶豫就追上去”這個感情色彩時，用He’s out the door after her like a shot. 來替換上面的without a second thought, he takes off after her. “l(fā)ike a shot”表示very quickly and without hesitating. 當介紹“接下來的四天同樣的事情發(fā)生了”的時候，用same routine替換same thing. 還有“他非常高興的發(fā)現(xiàn)自己成功減肥”時，用much to his delight替換前文的he’s delighted to find. 等等。

這樣的話，在grammar和lexical resource部分的分數(shù)肯定是不會低的。
