1.I very much like David Beckham
其實這種說法還是比較普遍的。Very 雖說是個副詞，但是并不能像一般的副詞一樣，放在副詞前面修飾動詞，所以very有自己獨特的用法。這句話正確的寫法是：I like David Beckham very much.. 但是老外更習慣于說 I am a huge fan of David Beckham; I am insanely crazy about him; I could think of nobody that tops him; 其次，在口語表達中，很多學生習慣于用very good這種表達方式。這里向各位烤鴨們推薦其它的一些表達，譬如incredible, amazing, unbelievable, impressive，awesome等等。
2. My English is poor
很多學生看到這句話，第一反應就是：“這句話還是錯的嗎?我們老師就是這么教的我們!” 其實，在英語表達里面，尤其是口語，單純的語法正確并不能表明這句話的意思就是對的。我從來沒有聽過老外講過My Chinese is poor. 口語中更加注重的是語言表達習慣。雖然某句話是對的，但是沒有人這么講。老外通常會講 My Chinese sucks; My Chinese is awful. 更多的情況下，老外的表達會比較積極，比如說 I am getting better though。.
3. Oral English
回國后，我聽到很多的學生說oral English, 甚至還包括個別的外教。根據我對這個詞的了解，oral English并不能表示 spoken English. 后來，我問了很多外教，確認了我的判斷是正確的。在英文里面，oral 更多的是表示跟口腔有關?？谡Z更多的是用 spoken English 或者 speaking English 來表示。外教們在中國時間待長了，也會被同化，犯這種錯誤，但是他們回到自己的國家后就會立刻改過來。但是對于我們中國數千萬的莘莘學子來講，在中國這個大環(huán)境下，這樣的錯誤如果不及時糾正的話，恐怕就是一輩子都會犯的錯誤了。
還有一些中國學生經常存在的問題，從嚴格意義上來講，并不是一些錯誤，只是說被中國學生用爛掉了，所以雅思考官聽到就會吐了。比如說：
1.a lot of
這個詞組并沒有什么錯誤，只是當所有學生都在用的時候，它就自然而然變成了錯誤的。我們可以用很多替代的詞，例如：There are tons of people in the classroom; I have been to like a million interviews 等等。
2.I think
中國學生很喜歡用一些stereotyped 答案。比如說考官問你問題的時候，很多學生就習慣于回答 I think… 其實，從英語角度來講，I think代表一種不確定性，所以當你在表達觀點加上這么一個詞的時候，就是表達一種不確定的概念給考官，所以建議考生們盡量避免這個表達。
3.Maybe
很多學生用maybe來表達probably的概念，其實這是大錯特錯。Maybe翻譯成中文，更加確切的意思，表示應該怎么樣，但是這種可能性并不大。比如說：
Since you are so incredibly talented, maybe it’s time for you compete for the Emmy Awards. (諷刺)
George W. Bush administration has always been standing in the way of other countries’ economic development. Maybe they love to present themselves as a pain in the ass to the world。
