GRE詞匯難點分析：要求詞匯量基礎(chǔ)驚人

GRE詞匯量有多少?根據(jù)一般的說法，會給出兩萬的答案。不過兩萬到底是什么概念?通過對比幫助大家了解一下，如果你高中畢業(yè)，你的英語詞匯應該有2000至3000的積累，這2000到3000詞相對簡單，里面很多是is, do, run這類簡單詞匯。如果你考過了四級，那么你的詞匯會有4000左右。如果你考過了六級，那么會達到6000詞。如果你考過托?；蛘哐潘迹愕脑~匯積累大概在8000到12000之間。從這里想必大家對兩萬的詞匯量就有一個大致概念了。而這么大的詞匯量，對比從高中畢業(yè)，到考六級，用時三年左右，詞匯增長4000，而考托福、GRE往往用一兩年就要考完，那么在如此短暫的時間里，詞匯需要一躍增長8000到一萬，就是硬性任務。從時間跨度來看，難度有多大可想而知。

詞匯量大帶來的另一個問題就是新詞匯太多，這也是讓很多同學覺得GRE詞匯難的原因之一。大量完全不認識的新詞匯，很容易對學生的身體和精神造成很大的壓力。以紅寶書為例，厚度堪比英語字典。在看四六級詞匯書時，起碼每頁都有一半以上是熟悉的詞，會讓人多少有點心理安慰。但翻開GRE詞匯書，一頁10個詞，往往只認識2到3個。在大量新詞的前提下，遺忘就是控制不住的趨勢了。所以，好不容易前一天背了20頁，結(jié)果第二天早上醒來卻發(fā)現(xiàn)幾乎忘了個干凈，這的確是讓人非常沮喪的事情。
