具體方法
a 通讀一遍，掃除單詞障礙，摘抄出生詞、短語(yǔ)、句子，搞懂課文意思;

c 跟錄音讀一遍;
d 反復(fù)讀，直到可以非常熟練地、沒(méi)有任何磕絆地、用很快的語(yǔ)速讀下來(lái);

要點(diǎn)提醒
1. 不要在課本中做任何標(biāo)記，包括單詞的讀音和漢語(yǔ)意思。這些都記在另外的筆記本上，讀課文時(shí)只看純英文文本，同時(shí)一邊想自己讀的這句話是什么意思。這樣做可以避免只記得單詞漢語(yǔ)意思，卻容易忘記原來(lái)的英文單詞，同時(shí)有助于慢慢培養(yǎng)用英文思考的習(xí)慣;
2. 每天堅(jiān)持做，每次至少20分鐘。不求一次背很多內(nèi)容，關(guān)鍵在于長(zhǎng)期堅(jiān)持。至少堅(jiān)持一個(gè)月后就會(huì)見(jiàn)到一點(diǎn)成效了。此外切記不要一次花太長(zhǎng)時(shí)間，建議20-30分鐘為最佳。如果時(shí)間充裕的話可以一天多做幾次30分鐘的任務(wù)。有些同學(xué)習(xí)慣一下午3、4個(gè)小時(shí)的時(shí)間一直做一件事。大多數(shù)情況下，這樣拖沓的學(xué)習(xí)習(xí)慣不僅效率不高，極大地浪費(fèi)了時(shí)間，長(zhǎng)此以往還可能養(yǎng)成慢吞吞的思考習(xí)慣，對(duì)于學(xué)習(xí)和考試百害無(wú)利;

The electric currents generated by most living cells are extremely small - often so small that sensitive instruments are needed to record them. But in some animals, certain muscle cells have become so specialized as electrical generators that they do not work as muscle cells at all. When large numbers of these cell are linked together, the effects can be astonishing.
The electric eel is an amazing storage battery. It can seed a jolt of as much as eight hundred volts of electricity through the water in which it live. ( An electric house current is only one hundred twenty volts.) As many as four-fifths of all the cells in the electric eel’s body are specialized for generating electricity, and the strength of the shock it can deliver corresponds roughly to length of its body.

Personally, I think government should make it easier for student to choose their majors. Currently, it is very hard, if not impossible for lots of average students to choose popular majors like economics, finance and accounting, cuz you have to get a really high score in college entrance exam.
